Review on Comet Dual Band Magnet Antenna Connector by Timothy Weems

These are great little antennas - I like them for travel or occasional use. They are compact and work great on both bands. The base has a protective layer to prevent damage to your roof. One caveat - I have several older versions, and in the current version the coaxial cable looks like hard plastic. My guess is that it's basically a PVC formula that is VERY stiff almost to the point of being unmanageable. I'm almost afraid to bend it. It does the job though and some creative cable tucking between seats etc will do the trick. The cable is slightly thinner than a regular RG-58 and will go through door edges and gaskets, but can be pinched. Be careful when laying from the outside to the inside.
