Review on Harkla Kids Weighted Blanket (7lbs): Cooling Bamboo Toddler Blanket with Plush Minky Duvet - Ideal for Children Weighing 40lb to 70lb by Lori Hubbard

I am an adult with anxiety. I'm 6 feet tall and weigh 250 pounds. and I bought the 25 pound version. This blanket is amazing. It is soft and the weight is very comfortable. I really believe it helps me sleep better. After opening the product, I noticed a slight smell, almost like a skunk. The second day I couldn't sleep with him because the smell got too strong. I took off the cover and washed it. Everything was fine until a week passed. The smell of skunk is back with a vengeance. I assumed it was the dye used for what the company calls the "minks" of the outer cover. My wife is upset because it smells so bad. I'll try to wash both the inner and outer layers according to the instructions on the Harkla website and post the results. Although I'm not sure my washing machine can handle a 25lb pad. We're thankful for any hint. - Stuart
