The wire loop holds its position quite well after bending, the neck foam tube is comfortable without making the holder too flexible. The swivel that connects the strap to the phone holder is the best way to change the angle freely. The neck strap itself is long enough to position the phone a good 9 inches from your eyes, and it can stretch even further, but I use part of the strap to lean on my collarbone while reading on my back to to ensure stability.
