The left/right set screw is useless and doesn't stop movement at all , but as a center it's usually straight ahead so it usually doesn't matter. Monitor alignment can be accurate. You'll need to roll to one side and it will come back about half an inch. This is quite the case on cheaper hands (e.g. non-ergotron). normal, however it would be nice if they worked on making them more accurate to make it easier to align multiple monitor frames to one frame.
