It works. Cheap ones can do that too, but monstrous cables will work.
My long monster cable snapped under the force of gravity. Although this one is good. I use it to send an image from an AV receiver to a TV. It can send sound from your smart TV to the receiver through the arc if you don't have streaming devices.
