My favorite cotton yarn in the best shade of pink I could find. Amorous. When I first bought this thread I wasn't expecting much because I was just starting to look at cotton thread options. When I first used it, my sewing machine (Brother SQ9185) pretended to be waiting for this thread. Switching to other threads made my machine grumpy and I was very disappointed in rethreading and adjusting the tension. And because of the knotted nests, my projects were difficult to complete without a lot of time to rip open the seams. And my car had a small amount of lint that needed cleaning after using this thread. Unlike some other brands of thread where the fibers stick to the needle bar after a few hours of use. So obviously I tried more of this thread to get my machine working as I expected. Now I have a new machine (Brother ST150HDH) that doesn't bother with other threads. Tonight I presented my new cute pink car! I'm so excited! I used cute pink bobbin thread. Lilac ice for the upper thread. So smooth with cotton fabric. I am adding Sweet Pink as well as other colors from Connecting Threads to my collection. This cotton thread will be the main choice in the future. I like to use contrasting yarn - matching yarn gets so boring and hard on the eyes. Sweet pink stitching on dark fabric is a real treat. With light tones, the fabric is also beautiful. Only negative, I want ten coils in cute pink plus white color options. Five spools of sweet pink like the ones I have in my salt and pepper set would be great. Then I don't have to worry about having enough to complete my projects. That moment when I open my thread drawer and see there is only one spool left is depressing. I love buying yarn online, so much frustration is avoided when I can get the exact colors I want instead of making multiple trips to the nearest store. I don't understand why it's so difficult to buy cotton yarn locally, but it's clear that my local resources are frustrating and hindering my creativity. My sewing life has gotten better with these connecting threads. I can't compare this thread to the brands I wanted to try. I don't need it because this brand has colors that I love. The threads do not break on cotton or in several layers of cotton. I don't have to constantly clear the entire work area of fluff. And I can't stress enough how wonderful the colors are! The two attached photos show the use as bobbin thread in fabric and in a top loading bobbin case.
