I took the risk of replacing these lens caps for my very expensive and beautiful Zeiss Victory SF 10x42. Zeiss makes world-class optics, but the standard lens caps were flimsy and fell off the first time they were hung on something. As mentioned in a previous review, the stylized look of the Zeiss glasses leaves only a slight ridge on the sight tubes to allow those lids to close. They seemed to work well with household lights, but during the first true birding trip, which consisted of a full day of hiking, driving, raising and lowering binoculars, and caping, these covers came loose. After trying for a day I gave up trying to save her and put her back on. The' It's a well-made product and feels good - the caps themselves stay in place, but the rings that keep them there when the caps are removed don't. The weight of the caps is enough to pull them out for free. This round ring style just doesn't match the Zeiss Victory case. The quality of the material is above average, but unfortunately I can't say anything about the durability. This round ring style just doesn't match the Zeiss Victory case.
