ITEM: Medcursor Electric Shiatsu Foot Massager DESIGN GEN-2.!NOTE: There is a GEN-1 design available for men who are size 11 and under. If you have smaller feet, I highly recommend considering Medcursor's earlier model. Note that after a day of use, we returned this machine and bought the original design; very happy with the older model. Read my review and you will understand why. BACKGROUND: Our daughter introduced us to the Gen-1 Medcursor foot massager when we visited her home a few months ago. Immediately after that, we decided we wanted one too. So when I went to the Medcursor site and saw the same machine as theirs, I noticed a manufacturer insert that showed a different version of their machine but tagged "updated-newer.etc". So of course I opted for the latest version. IT WAS NOT AS GOOD FOR US as we remembered when we were at our daughter's house. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE FIRST DESIGN AND THIS DESIGN: The main difference between the Gen-1 and this updated design is how the legs fit into the car. Note that the leg openings are near the front edge (leg entrance) of the machine. The holes are large and allow you to put your feet right in the holes. Well, I realized that the feature of the new design was to accept larger legs. The original machine was marked as foot size ELEVEN and smaller. I could see this machine would work for big feet. However, when we placed our feet (male 9.5 and female 7) in this new design, they were not wrapped very well by the fabric and massaging action. There is not as comfortable a feeling on the wrong side of the foot as on the front toes. And that's because of the design of the leg cavity. In my opinion: This is an amazing car. But the first generation was the winner for us. And that's because it fit our feet and made them feel "comfortable and fully treated." When we received this device, the leg sockets were noticeably larger and they didn't enclose our feet with the massaging comfort we experienced on our daughter's Gen 1 model. I recommend that if your foot size is less than 11, you choose an earlier model. If you have large feet from a size 11, consider this machine. My 3 star rating is for buyers with "smaller foot size".
