When they arrived they were clearly broken and HEARING broken. At first I thought it was a shipping error, but I soon realized it wasn't. Due to chopstick recycling laws, I realized I had to open the box and throw away the broken glass so I could recycle the shipping boxes. When I first started this I noticed that the frame is well made when connected with plastic fasteners. It is real glass, very strong perforated backing board and wooden frame. And then I noticed the glass shatter. It crumbled into large pieces, but instead of continuous fracture lines, the glass very often showed round indentations with many small fragments. The glass shattered from the stress, but I don't know if it was something excessive. The glass is glued to the frame and looks like it broke when the frame vibrated in the box, or it may have been at the wrong angle. Unable to stretch with the frame, the glass shattered into millions of pieces. How is the glass glued to the frame? There is no easy way to remove it and dispose of it safely. Parts protrude from the frame. Due to local recycling laws and their keen enforcement, I may have to force the glass out of the frame before I can dispose of it.
