Review on Optimized Whole Earth Farms Grain-Free & Healthy Grains All Breed Wet Dog & Puppy Food (Case of 12) by Kevin Lechtenberg

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Quality has continued to decline in the last year or so

My dogs have been buying dry and canned food from Whole Earth Farms for about 3 years. My cats have also been using this brand for about 2 years. There were many reasons why I decided to switch to this brand. However, things have been very mixed over the past year to 1.5 years. I shop at Revain and pet stores when I'm there. I buy a crate or 2 at a time as I have 2 large dogs. I bought dry food and opened the dog and cat food to find mold. Revain has always made it easy to find replacements as quickly as possible. The size and shape of the pellets never match, I think that's probably because they come from different plants, who knows? But as far as these cans go, initially I had a lot of cans that were 3/4 full, half and even 1/3 full. Once I even had a small crumb of food in a jar, and about a month ago I got a completely empty jar! Well, for the last 2 boxes I've ordered, I've noticed that the consistency is very different than it used to be. I buy a "loaf" but it has so much sauce/jelly in it. Significantly more moisture than before. I feel like I'm getting less food and more water. My German Shepherd is very sensitive to any change as he has EPI (exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, he cannot digest food without the addition of enzymes) and has had more and more stomach problems since this change. I was hoping he would adapt, but so far it hasn't. This means it might be time to look for alternatives.
