Some audio data cannot be decoded

I'm using this to split and decode audio from a Roku device so I can control remote wireless speakers. In my situation, I needed an analog signal to connect to an older 900MHz wireless speaker. It works, but I think there are some formats where analog audio is not decoded at all. For example, some programs do not output sound to an analog signal, but there will be advertising in these programs. It can be a bit of a concern if only the remote speakers are on during commercials. It drives my wife insane. This happens across multiple streaming platforms like Sling, NetFlix, and BritBox, so I know it's not just for one service. It also only occurs in some programs. Most of the time it works correctly.

Pros
  • Manual audio input switching: 2 optical + 2 coaxial audio signals; Audio output socket: 2 x cinch (R/L), 1 x 3.5 mm jack, 1 x optical output; Power-down memory function: Retains the state of the input signal before the last power-down.
Cons
  • I don't remember
