Both sets offer exceptional value for money and are a great learning experience for children. The Mega Gem and Fossil Set contains 10 gems and 10 fossils in a round plaster block. Wetting the tombstone with water makes digging easier with the tools provided. The 10 gems found were of good quality and there were some unusual ones such as desert rose and aragonite. My daughter has gone insane over the geode she found. The 10 fossils were also a good selection of fragments. This Mega Fossil Dig Set contains 15 different good quality fossils at an affordable price. The kit includes a plaster digging block, a magnifying glass, a digging tool and a small brush. The included study guide talks about the included fossils in an easy to understand way. The excavation set is highly recommended and makes a great gift.
