Bought when our newborn was awake in the cradle. I thought it might help to have different options (carry case, middle and lower tier). Upon unpacking, it smelled terribly of plastic and smoke. I didn't let my baby sleep in it for 3 days until he was ventilated. The cradle is VERY small. At 9 pounds and 22 inches long my newborn is the ONLY fit although he is cute. The middle and lower levels are firm and require some sort of mattress for extra comfort. The best part is the changing table! In the future it will be good to have it when I have to leave the room (so as not to be trampled by his sisters or dog) or when traveling. I'm keeping it, just not for the original reason I bought it.
