Cozy, fluffy and so soft. Openwork weaving, like the Afghan blanket my grandmother sewed in the 70's. Did a test sleep at about 64 degrees in the house and wide open windows. Keeps me warm without being too hot. The extra cat heaters were in the spot next to me on that fairly wide blanket and didn't count towards the heat estimate. Washed twice, once while unpacking and then again when a cat dipped its tail in my coffee and then proceeded to print coffee tail prints on the comforter. Lay it out with a normal wash load, wash warm. Dry with the same clothes on medium heat. No shape distortion, frayed edges or pilling. Dyeing is also fast, clothes don't turn orange after two washes. If you have a gray sofa, consider this orange a nicely balanced contrast to add some color to the room.
