I tried it out and at first I was a little overwhelmed by all the buttons: there are so many that it's easy to accidentally press them if you tilt the head of the device. The "2D" function annoyed me at first, but it can be useful. The best thing about this device is the palm rest-shaped body, which keeps the device in the right orientation (a constant problem with the base unit). In the end I decided the buttons were redundant; Instead, I can just add some keyboard shortcuts to Solidworks. I brought it back and reverted to a simpler PE version. (I also use double sided tape to keep it on my desk.) It's easier and MUCH cheaper.
