Can't say enough good things about the candle lantern. *Disclaimer, I don't think you should use it in a tent, but it really shines there (no pun intended). I do a lot of fall/spring hiking and it takes the pressure off when you're camping on the cusp of freezing. It's not magic, it won't burn forever and keep the tent warm like a heater, but it will take some of the sting out of it on a chilly night. Also, you can hang your socks on it and they will dry overnight. Haven't lit the tent yet. Never had a problem with the candle burn time, was burning when I went to bed and was still burning when I wake up. Always on the verge of packing extra weight but grateful when temperatures drop to 30's and below.
