I've used this a few times on my Sony only to break it with the LCD attached to it. This is the LCD screen that I attached to the shoe mount on my Neewer NW759 camcorder. 7 inch IPS screen with 1280x800 resolution field monitor with 1 mini HDMI cable for BMPCC, AV cable for FPV, aspect ratio 16:10 or 4:3 adjustable for Sony Canon. Nikon Olympus Pentax Panasonic This attachment is made of plastic and snaps into place! This part must be metal, like the upper attachment of the shoe. I almost broke my LCD panel but I caught it on the way down because the HDMI cable was plugged in and it was slowing down. Now I use this clamp. M, Ronin MX, Freefly MOVI - 1138 to hold my LCD panel. I just connect it to the handle on the tripod. I like it better because the screen is closer to the face. I also use this quick connector because you can actually tighten it with an allen wrench and it's a permanent connector so you don't have to screw it in and out every time you use it. That works great! This combination is the way to go. This mount may fit a microphone with a lighter boom, but will not fit an LCD screen or large LED lamp.
