Need a better battery case for normal operation. Otherwise it works fine.
If you buy a tachometer from one of many different brands (they are all the same except for the markings). They only work properly if you install the battery outdoors. The battery compartment inside is too small to insert the battery and reattach the bottom two screws. If you place a battery at the top of the case next to the coil sensor, it will interfere with the magnetic field and the readings will be extremely erratic.
