I don't know why people gave such a bad review but the brushes are great for cleaning my hairbrushes. Before and after cleaning my comb which I've been using for about a week. I like to clean my comb just before shampooing, so I don't use a dirty comb on my clean hair. I find that using part #1 in my picture is the best way to get rid of the hair. I only used part #2 of the brush when I first cleaned the brush about a month later because there was so much of it and then used part #1 to get the residue off. THE METAL BRUSH IS USELESS IN MY OPINION. It is thin and can tip over and break. I could see it being used on a boar bristle brush when using it on fine fine hair? But I never use a metal brush. I have long, thick hair and I often just use a black brush on both ends.
