Review on ZHC Battery Equalizer/Balancer: Extend Battery Life in 48V Series-Connected Solar Systems by Christopher Kumar

I used this balancer for about six months on a bank of four deep cycle lead acid batteries used in a jury installed computer UPS were used. I have previously had problems with batteries connected to this UPS with a few volts drifting which resulted in ruining a set of batteries (one of them overheated and ruptured at the top). With this balancer, the batteries stayed within 0.02 volts of each other even when the string was repeatedly drained and recharged due to power outages. I estimate this balancer will save me hundreds of dollars on batteries that would otherwise be damaged after several discharge cycles.
