I bought this "scope" on purpose because the seller told me it would actually fit a .223 (5.56mm) rifle barrel. I rec. it, charged up and running on a nice big Samsung tablet with an amazing OLED screen. As a preliminary test, I put the camera in a large .40 caliber barrel. It was immediately clear that this camera was not suitable for checking any rifling or the condition of gas holes on gas guns. The reason is that the fixed focus camera is not short enough. You can see very blurry features but no detail. I started posting pictures but it's really a waste of time. Just don't buy any of these to inspect a rifle or pistol barrel. If one of these inexpensive endoscopes is advertised as "borehole," find out the minimum focal length and compare it to the published specifications for that endoscope. Since it's obviously useless, I didn't bother to check if it would fit the 5.56 NATO barrel. For Viewing Other Objects This camera appears to be working well. i will return it
