Sparks when you plug into the battery and the power supply is not connected to the wall. Makes an audible hum, which I'm hoping is the fan and not the electrical hum of the components inside. If anyone from the company can tell me if this noise is a fan or not, it is safe to make this noise. or not, that would be helpful. The pictures are wrong, it looks like it has a detachable power cord, but it doesn't. So if, like me, you prefer to leave the cord plugged in and simply unplug the power adapter when not in use, you'll be as disappointed as I am to discover that this isn't an option. There's no power button, nothing out of the ordinary, just an indicator that glows red while charging, green when charging is complete, and that loud hum. But it is charged at the expected price. I have a 48V/54.6V 10.4Ah battery that charges in about 2.5 hours, more or less depending on how low the voltage is. This is much faster than the 2A charger that came with my battery which takes 4-6 hours.
