Review on πŸ”§ Transform Cabinets with Nuvo Titanium Infusion: 1 Day Cabinet Makeover Kit by Miguel Escobar

Great set just misleading marketing

I just bought a new house and the kitchen is in bad shape. The paint is worn, covered with cooking oil and leftover food. I was looking for a few hundred dollar solution to survive a few years before we can cannibalize it. The marketing is a little misleading - unless you have a tiny or immaculate kitchen, this will take you days. You need a random orbit sander or your hand will fall off. You will need to remove the doors and drawer fronts to get the best possible sanding/cleaning/paint finish. Sanding scrapers are better than foam sanding blocks for getting into the crevices of curved mounting plates. When working on the recessed parts of a cabinet door, use a little paint and apply 4 coats (the brush should feel like it's pulling) - the paint tends to pile up in the corners and crack as it dries. Continue working with the paint while it dries in the indentations to avoid buildup. The end result depends on how well you clean/sand/and how hard you go into the painting process, BUT the results are BEAUTIFUL. Hard and smooth, it covers many sins of their past abuse. The white looks horrible up to the 3rd coat and the gray (driftwood) is doing a little better. I used 2 sets (top white, bottom grey), there are many more left. So for less than $200 and a few oiled elbows I saved myself a few thousand that would take a pro to do.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Not the best
