The beanie is mostly comfortable with a soft band down the center front to back. When servicing equipment near cabinets and tables with sharp bottom edges, this is exactly what I need. It comes in handy when the bill is turned upside down. I've scratched my head before and this cap does a great job of protecting my head from cuts and scratches. My rating is 4 stars instead of 5 as I work in an air conditioned workplace and can't judge if wearing it in a hot environment is ok. The plastic housing can cause welding residue.
