Lightweight Blue Baseball Bump Cap: Optimal Head Protection for Sports and Hiking Review

My husband wears hats every day and hit his head at work. I decided to buy this for him as a safety measure. He doesn't need a helmet, but sometimes it's useful. This hat was just perfect. The solid crown in the hat is a little small, wish it was a little wider to make it look a little better. But hubs don't mine. He's been wearing it every day since February when it arrived. The hat looks exactly as described.

In attics and in cellars I was looking for a kind of head protection. I didn't actually want to wear a helmet because it deviated too much from my head. This is the perfect compromise. You don't have the full protection of a helmet, but if you bang your head on something there is some protection. I went straight into the floor beam when I got off the subway. If I didn't have it, it would probably throw me off track. I survived without getting a mark on my head.

The beanie is mostly comfortable with a soft band down the center front to back. When servicing equipment near cabinets and tables with sharp bottom edges, this is exactly what I need. It comes in handy when the bill is turned upside down. I've scratched my head before and this cap does a great job of protecting my head from cuts and scratches.
