Review on πŸ’« Cowboy Magic Detangler & Shine: Experience Ultimate Hair Tips in a 4 oz Bottle by Richard Gonzales

Not magical but useful for daily brushing

Edit: I changed my original review a few weeks later as I had some trouble using this on my Coton Mix pup. It took some time before the problems were recognized. It can be very thick and build up on the coat over time, which then clumps the coat and causes tangles. I don't think I will buy this again. There are other silicones that are thinner and more water soluble. First Review: I have tried every detangling product on the market and this one is good. It's by no means a magic formula in itself, but it does help in the overall effort. My dog is a coton type with a coat that tangles in just one day. The cowboy magic helps with particularly hard mats, but even with this product it takes hours of manual work to remove it. I believe mats should be removed carefully, with little to no pulling on the dog. If I need a few hours to work on the mats, I take my time. Or I cut it off and try to prevent it from spreading any further. The best approach is to brush your hair daily, it's literally the only way to avoid tangles. Anything started can be deleted within a day. Wait longer and it will become increasingly difficult to remove without causing pain. Alternatively, you can cut up the rugs and just try to keep them from coming back. Daily maintenance is key.
