I've been using this Belkin 4-port USB box on my desktop for over a year now. It's great and makes life a lot easier. It's solidly built, works well, and allows me to run many USB devices simultaneously from my computer. I use it for an external keyboard, mouse, hard drive and sometimes another device or two. This is great because when I go to work with my laptop all of these devices are already connected to the multiport and all I have to do is connect the multiport to my Macbook Pro and I'm good to go. No more connecting multiple devices and switching the devices I've connected throughout the day. A small problem you want to avoid is that you can't just pull the multiport out of your computer when you have an external hard drive attached, as well as some other items when you have an external hard drive. hard drive connected. You must eject the disc first, otherwise it may be damaged. I often leave the drive unplugged to avoid this step and just plug it into the connector when needed. Belkin makes a good product and I highly recommend it.
