Works great for basic items like a card reader and .

WARNING - this hub does not work as a passthrough on all USB devices. I contacted Belkin customer service and was told that some devices such as the Apple DVD player and my Western Digital backup drive would not work properly. Basically, they told me that any powered device might not work because that device cannot meet the flexibility requirements. Works great for basics like a memory card reader and charging small devices, but nothing more. Most larger powered items do not work and therefore…

Works great and compatible with Raspberry Pi.

Works well and serves its purpose. I find the assembly is a bit flimsy. When I took it out of the box it fell almost falling apart. The two halves of the lid have a tiny gap between them. Despite this small flaw I still give it 5 stars because it doesn't fall apart or break and it's a great value. If I pay $30 for it spent I would have expected better quality but for the price I didn't expect it to be top quality so once again it does what it needs to do to clarify this is a powered hub you can

Works great even when unplugged

All I needed was a simple passive (no power) USB hub. I liked that it didn't have an LED. I already have enough glowing LEDs connected to the computer. It's all connected to it all the time anyway, so I don't need access to the hub. I hid it in the back of the computer out of sight. I only use 3 of the 4 hub ports. I have an AC powered external DVD drive and 2 printers plugged into the ports. I only use one of these peripherals at a time, so the hub was the perfect solution. Previously, all 4…

Pros
  • Ultra slim design Takes up little space on your desk.
Cons
  • Easy maintainability

I've been using this Belkin 4-port USB box on my desktop for over a year now. It's great and makes life a lot easier. It's solidly built, works well, and allows me to run many USB devices simultaneously from my computer. I use it for an external keyboard, mouse, hard drive and sometimes another device or two. This is great because when I go to work with my laptop all of these devices are already connected to the multiport and all I have to do is connect the multiport to my Macbook Pro and I'm…

Perfect USB Hub for Raspberry Pi

It was bought for Raspberry Pi Model B. Model B Pi only has 2 USB ports, and that's just not enough. I intend to use the Pi as a digital oscilloscope, but to do that I need to connect: 1) a wireless mouse/keyboard dongle, 2) a Wi-Fi dongle, and 3) the digital oscilloscope itself. So don't kick the hub on. This hub is on the Raspberry Pi Compatibility List. This is a powered hub and comes with a power adapter. It's very compact, which is important since my Pi project needs to fit in a small…

Works fine and compatible with Raspberry Pi

Works well and does the job. I find that the assembly is a little flimsy. When I took it out of the box it almost fell apart. The two halves of the lid have a tiny gap between them. Despite this small flaw I still give it 5 stars because it doesn't fall apart or break and it's a great value. If I had spent $30 on it I would have expected better quality but for the price I didn't expect it to be premium quality. So he's doing what he has to do once again. To clarify, this is a powered hub. You…
