I ordered these gloves for a 4 day ski trip and I love them. As with anything, you need to consider price to judge performance. At this price I was very impressed. Two days were in their mid-30s and the glove performed very well. Hands were a little cold on the lifts, but otherwise everything was fine. One of the days was (according to the staff) "the most miserable mountain day of your life". 15°F at base, snow storm, wind gusts 40-50 m/s. Most of the time my hands were pretty good. Where these gloves had a problem was above the tree line, where the temperature can be below zero and nothing is blocking the wind. There was a moment when I feared frostbite while wearing gloves, but my hands quickly warmed as I approached the base. In terms of quality, my only criticism is that the ends of the cable come loose easily. My solution was to pull the cords through the caps and tie a knot. The problem is solved. Bottom Line: If you're sensitive to cold hands/get into horrible conditions, it might be worth looking for gloves that are specifically rated for sub-zero temperatures. Although I didn't see the advertised rating I would give 15*. For under $20 this is a great deal and I was very pleased.
