This cable is thicker than some Cat6a, probably about as thick as Cat7. This is due to the internal plastic stand (not to be confused with the rip cord), which is quite "fleshy". Surprisingly, this wire is fairly easy to work with and after pulling 1100 feet I find it's not as stiff as some of the wires I've worked with. Unfortunately the blue braided cable wasn't available so I went with the yellow one. I didn't do all the punching and termination, but a solid core, 23AWG is what you need. So quality is great, value is great (when bought it was 50% cheaper than local store), construction is top notch, availability is good, customer service is not appreciated. ). I recommend this Cat6a cable to buy!
