I bought these for a Thanksgiving race I am running. Socks hit the shin like they should, but are tight on the shin. I have to drop them under the calf to wear them to the race. The color is light. Part of the foot appears thicker and part of the lower leg appears thinner. Not a bad product, just tight on the calf so I have to wear it under the calf when wearing it. I have large calves so I don't think there are many socks larger than the size that would fit me.
