It seemed to increase the dynamics or brightness of the sound. For me, it wasn't an overwhelming bass experience. And the last thing I tested at a distance from the device to see how Bluetooth would remain blocked. I was over 35 feet and three walls tall and the music continued to sound clear. More complete instructions, available after scanning the QR code, helped put everything in place, and the JVC HA-ET65BV-B wireless headphones are a pleasure to use.
