Review on Poyet Motte Chevreuse Heavyweight Wool Blend Oversized Blanket: Full/Queen Size Blue Stripe – Machine Washable and Luxuriously Cozy! by Tony Francis

An affordable, quality wool blanket is a deceptive color. Advertisement photo

This blanket is of very high quality. Heavy, the fabric is very dense, the seams along the edges are neat. It's also obviously wool - it's prickly and smells a bit when you take it out of the mailer. This is not offensive and is normal for virgin wool products. You must use this duvet with cotton sheets as it will scratch a little - again this is normal for most types of wool. This blanket reminds me of what I was able to find at my grandparents house and I love it. The brown stripe on the yellow striped bedspread is very desaturated in life and tends to be a lighter tan color. In promotional photos it appears to be a rich dark brown of burnt umber. The rest of the colors, although somewhat desaturated, are very similar to the photographs. This is a beautiful blanket in its own right but I wish the photos were a bit more honest about the color as I really liked the pattern advertised. I'm keeping the blanket as I've wanted an affordable king size wool blanket for a long time and this fits the bill. I have a larger queen mattress and there is a lot of material left on the sides to tuck in the edges when I make the bed. I've attached a few photos so people can make a more informed decision.
