Great ball for beginners. They lie softly on the racket head so that the baby's wrist does not wobble. They also don't go very far, so there are fewer accidental off-court hits. They also keep me from getting excited and nailing them to my tennis students. Difficult-to-hit foam, flat ball. They are also larger than a regular ball and the red color makes them easier for a child to spot. Definitely a winner for my 6 year old group. I imagine if you're recovering from a wrist or elbow injury and just want to get back into the game gently, this would be the kind of ball you'd also love.
