I was really excited to try out MJ's bling ring (you know the one with that blue rock and the diamond). It seemed like it would be the perfect accessory for my sister's wedding. It looked amazing when I first got it, but unfortunately I have to knock off a few stars for a couple of reasons. First of all, the blue topaz was not as blue as I expected. It was more of a pale blue than the deep, rich blue I was hoping for. I think that the picture on the website may have been retouched a bit to make the blue look brighter than it actually is. Second, the yellow gold band itself is quite thin, and I'm worried that it might bend or break if I'm not careful. All that being said, the ring still does look pretty good. The diamond sparkles nicely in the light, and the blue topaz is an interesting and unique choice. I would recommend this ring for someone who wants a unique piece of jewelry for a special occasion, just keep in mind that the blue is more muted in person than it appears online.
