The wire prongs on the end of the main connector do not protrude far enough to make contact with the vehicle wire. Being a truck driver I couldn't return on time so I had to get creative. I cut off the end of the connector from the new headlights and replaced it with the connector from my old headlights and heat shrinked it around the connectors to the wires in the housing. Actually, you should be able to replace the whole thing without cutting or splicing, but the cables on the new headlights were routed in such a way that this was not possible.
