The device only ran at 100Mbps and there was no speed specification on the box or the device itself.

Neither the device nor its packaging has a speed rating (CatN). Devices are supposed to work at Cat7 speed, but the connection is only established at 100 bb/s. I used the old Cat6.a connector I had and the speed increased to 1Gbps. (My network is currently only running at 1Gbps due to switch limitations, so 1Gbps was what was expected. I will be returning the units if I happen to be using my UPS next month.
