Cute and perfect for the casual boater

This life jacket is very cute. This was my 5 month old pup's first time on a boat and he did great and this life jacket gave him a little more confidence swimming and the handle was strong enough for us to help him, again to get on the boat. He is a 30 lb Dalmatian and will fit oversized if adjusted as tight as possible to allow room to grow into him. We've been training to wear a life jacket at home with treats to keep him comfortable in it when it's time to swim. The fin dangles a bit in the water but still looks like a cute baby shark. It seems fine for occasional use, but if you use it regularly you might want a more durable model. When my dog reaches adult size and outgrows that fast we will probably switch him to a more visible and durable one but it will be great to start him. weekly for several months. My dog is about 45 pounds and a large one fits him well with space. This celebration of life isn't very lively - it won't keep a non-swimming dog completely out of the water like some people seem to expect - but it's a good boost for a dog that's comfortable swimming. My dog is a good swimmer but he always wears a life jacket when we go boating not only because he likes to jump overboard but also because it doesn't tire him out as quickly so he can enjoy the water throughout the day. . We often pull it out of the water by the handle or tie it to the pier by the handle or D-ring when loading or unloading the boat and haven't noticed much wear yet.
