, received this case today. The packaging was well done and arrived intact. I have a 29 gallon aquarium that is over 15 years old so I was concerned it might not fit. Well it fits perfectly. It has a bit of wiggle room so it slides easily into the grooves, but not enough to fall through when moved. I think people who are having trouble cutting or attaching a plastic strip just have a weak grip because it wasn't difficult at all. It should feel a little tight so you know it won't come loose easily. The only difficulty was getting it in the middle and not too far to either side. Even then it wasn't difficult at all because I'm an adult and I don't cry about stupid things like that lol. There is a small gap in the back, but I don't want my lid to be airtight. I like that it's there so there's good air exchange. There were two pens in the kit but I only needed one. It was firmly attached and all I had to do was look at it. Maybe not quite centered, but I don't think it's noticeable. The thickness of the glass seems reasonable and not at all fragile. Overall I think this is a quality lid and looks good on my aquarium. All I need now is find the light to end this. I had to buy a new top as the old one got lost when I moved.
