I was always using the little pop socket stuff until I stumbled upon it. I LOVE that it can be used as a stand and the ring holds it more securely. For me it is much more functional. The transparent base doesn't distract from my colorful phone cases. The backing can be difficult to remove without pulling on the adhesive, just do it slowly.
