Installation was very easy. Less than 90 minutes elapsed from dismantling the ladder to dismantling the old lamp and folding the ladder. It worked great from the first time you turned it on and looks good too. Very quiet and you don't even have to use the counterweights that come with it. My only wish is that the remote could dim the lights, and I wish the remote also had the ability to change the direction of the fan instead of reaching up and flipping a switch. Otherwise great fan.
