I bought this 3.1 version because I already had two 3.0 64G versions and I knew it had to be great. The question was, what write speed can I expect? 3.0 is great, can 3.1 beat it? Maybe if the source can feed the USB drive at maximum speed. The hard drive I'm using as a replacement doesn't fit, I get extreme 3.0 performance that still outperforms any other USB I've tried. When I plug this 3.1 USB connector into my high-speed M.2 drive and buckle up, it hits up to 300Mbps. IMO the only decent USB, reasonable price, really extreme performance.
