Review on πŸͺ‘ Industrial Style Swivel Bar Stool: Black Padded Seat, Chrome Legs - BIG RED Torin by Michele Pearson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I bought a stool for a workbench, great! The seat is NOT leather but otherwise very good for the price.

Right off the bat as others have noted the seat is not leather, it says 'Commercial Grade Vinyl' right on the front of the box, the padding is ok but gives after is comfortable and rebounds after use. To the people complaining about the assembly, I didn't even open the instructions, it was very intuitive to me how to put it together. Here are some tips and steps I followed to make assembly as easy as possible (You will need a #3 Phillips screwdriver and a 10mm wrench or wrench) -1. If you have a workbench or other raised surface, start building next to it2. Remove all items from the box, remove the plastic covering from everything.3. Lean legs against a workbench or surface, rotate seat onto bench, leave swivel mechanism on bench4. Unpack screws, nuts and washers, sort into sets, 4 short screws with washers and nuts, 4 long screws with washers and nuts, one countersunk screw with washer and nut5. The countersunk screw is what you will use to assemble the two leg pieces together. Place the pair of legs with a flat tip in the middle under the other pair of legs at a 90 degree angle. There should be a countersunk hole in the top leg insert, put the countersunk screw in the hole, put a washer and nut on the other end and tighten, tighten fully as you won't be able to get to the head later. 6. Now take the pivot assembly and rotate the top so that it looks like a six pointed star when viewed from above. This allows access to the screws to mount both legs and the seat7. Install the pivot assembly over the legs you just assembled (don't attach the leg ring yet, wait!) 8. Insert the 4 short screws through the holes in the top of the leg assembly into the slots on the pivot plate. After all 4 bolts are in place, place washers and nuts on the other end and hand tighten9. After the leg block is in place, lower the leg support ring onto the legs, making sure the holes in the ring line up with the legs. Insert it in approximate position.10. Now lay the assembly flat, position yourself at the bottom of the leg assembly, pull the ring into place so the hole in the ring lines up with the hole in the visible leg, now insert one of the longer screws in both holes, make sure it goes through the footrest and leg. Do this for the remaining 3 holes in the footrest.11. Now put the stool back on, put washers and nuts on all 4 bolts, now fully tighten the bolts.12. Go back and fully tighten the screws on the pan head.13. With the seat face down on the bench, remove the 4 countersunk screws from the seat 14. Install the leg assembly on the top of the seat, align the holes in the top of the pivot assembly with the holes in the seat and insert one screw individually, tighten hand-tight. After all of the bolts have passed through the pivot assembly, fully tighten. This sounds like a lot, but it's very quick if you have the right #3 Phillips screwdriver and a 10mm wrench. It took me no more than 20 minutes to open the box, unpack parts and complete assembly. Hope this helps others.
