I had been wanting to get some new book ends for quite some time. Either I would forget or never get around to it. I have a number of books on the shelf of my entertainment center. Every time I would reach in that area something would fall over. I finally got very tired of this and ordered MaxGear Universal Premium Bookends for Shelves, and I couldn't be happier. They are the right weight and a pretty good price for what you get, but I made the mistake of trying to pop off the zip-ties. Upon using leverage force to remove them, the metal simply bent. Now, that being said, it holds up solid against the books as it was designed to do.but I was a little annoyed steel bent so easily. Product was exactly what we needed to hold in place cook books. I really like the quality of these bookends. They work well; glad I made this purchase.. Inexpensive, study and came in two days.

I now have four sets of the MaxGear heavy duty bookends and they do exactly what they are supposed to do. They can hold up extra large, heavy books without falling over and have anti-skid padding so they stay put. There is nothing fancy about them, and I would love MaxGear to come out with a more decorative line. Regardless, this is a great product!

Bookends should be simple and unless you are looking for an ornamental piece to use in your refined "study," this is all you need. They do the job and have not given me any issues with sliding or bending in anyway. I have bought a few pairs of these and will buy again when I need more.

I need bookends to support coffee-table size books on the tops of bookshelves, and these worked perfectly. The bookends are very sturdy; they will not bend from the weight of the books, as other bookends have in the past. They came very well packed, in excellent shape. Unfortunately for the company, I don't think I will have to replace them anytime soon, but will definitely purchase more if I need them.

I wanted something simple but decent looking for my bookshelves. These serve that purpose. I like that two sets come with the order. I ended up ordering a second set as well. My only issue, and it’s slight, is the long side is a bit too long if using for a small number of books. I had to place the bookends down first and overlap the bottoms before I placed the books in. That worked fine.
