I bought this mainly to give the iPad a paper-like feel when writing and drawing notes. It's pretty good for that, definitely has more grain than a smooth screen, and adds some resistance to the screen when drawing with a pencil. I could tell that it would wear down the Apple Pencil tips faster than just using the slick screen, but that's to be expected. It wasn't that great visually though. Reading documents was difficult, especially now that I spend so much time staring at the screen, my eyes get tired and after a while the blur gets too much. It wasn't illegible, just tiring on the eyes. I've decided to give it up (I still have a smooth tempered glass screen protector) and got used to writing on a smooth screen with the Apple Pencil. If you're primarily looking for something to make the screen more paper-like and don't want to read a lot of documents on the screen, this might be a good idea. It's fairly cheap and comes in three packs. So if you put it on thinking you hate it and take it off you can always use another one later if you decide to try again. Good for the undecided.
