is very convenient and the towels don't touch the wall. The old style didn't let the towels breathe, and odors and mold built up pretty quickly here in Southwest Florida. where the humidity and heat are what you would expect 300+ days a year. I've only had it in the main bathroom less than 6 months and the towels didn't seem to be touching the wall. Even if it doesn't --- it's still pretty and goes with everything else, so if I have to wash my towels more often I don't mind. but so far so good.
