So here's the thing, I've seen some reviews where people with larger animals thought it would work. Now come on, you obviously need to buy a sturdy, maybe even WOODEN ladder for the big animals. Not to say it's not strong, but for my 22 lb dog it's great. She's an old girl and she makes good use of it. Measurements are correct, height is approximately 19 inches. Ideal for most beds and sofas. Very satisfied, is also great for cats!
