Review on Gorilla Crystal Clear Repair Tape, 1.88” X 9 Yd, Clear, (Pack Of 1) by John Rivera

We recently moved into a new home and have been buying a number of furniture pieces online. I bought two lamps for our bedside tables from one of those big internet retailers that sell furniture. Each lamps has two pieces that are faux crystals--one a large globe and a second one a flat disk near the socket. The lamps were packed to the nth degree with styrofoam, yet despite this, both the flat disks were cracked in half. One of the disks actually had shards broken off too--and I could only find the largest one to glue back on. The problem was that because these flat disks were so close to the switch, I could foresee us slicing our fingers whenever we turned the lamps on or off. I needed something to run over the jagged edges . but what. The first thing I did was glue the large shard back on to the disk. And the second--and really the must genius solution--was to take pieces of the Gorilla Crystal Clear Duct Tape and to wrap the duct tape down the length of the cracks, over the edge of the crack, and around the bottom. I should emphasize that this is CLEAR duct tape, so once it was on the faux crystal, I became almost invisible. Using this method, I applied tape to all the cracks that had sharp edges, thus rendering the broken piece completely safe while at the same time keeping my lamp looking absolutely beautiful. Gorilla Crystal Clear Duct Tape saved the day!
