I bought a set from Equinox that included thinning scissors and clippers. Thinning scissors work great, but regular scissors suck due to a major flaw in hair scissors design. I should have enlarged the pictures as I was looking at them, but I made the mistake of assuming regular scissors should have FINISHED TIPS. You know, because they're not made for kindergarten kids. The scissors in this set have rounded tips (thinning scissors also have them, but that's normal with thinning scissors). So if you're trying to do anything other than a straight cut with these regular scissors, you're out of luck. I also foolishly thought I could return them as I think they are defective, but they are not returnable (I think this is due to the possibility of contamination of the entire person's DNA, which makes sense). In any case I would definitely NOT buy a set if I could do a rebuild but if you are looking for a good pair of profile shears you can easily find them yourself at Equinox as they are good and work great; Take your regular scissors somewhere else and make sure the ends are sharp! Learn from my mistakes!
