Used them to light up a desktop on one of my 3D printers. The bar fits exactly on the 2020 aluminum profiles. So close that no self-adhesive backing is needed, the strip simply sits in the V-notch and is too wide to accidentally pop out. The only problem is that the width makes it difficult to flex and stay in the V-slot on the frame joints; My first attempt resulted in strip damage and fuses or resistors popping out of the strip. It was my fault for trying to overdo it. In the second way, it was possible to partially bend the tape without damaging it. Combined with a basic dimmer the strip works great from medium to VERY bright. Would definitely buy again if I needed more for another project.
